Hello, my name is Mrs. Lemons, and I’m very excited to be teaching Kindergarten and first grade this year. I have previously worked as an aide for Kindergarten at Hillsborough and taught the Pre-K class for 5 years. I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Child and Adolescent Studies from California State University, Fullerton, and my teaching credential and Master’s Degree in Education from Azusa Pacific University. It is my goal as a teacher to ensure that every one of my students gets the opportunity to thrive with a well-rounded hands-on education. I also want my students to explore and develop self confidence, social skills, self control, creativity, and problem solving.

Ms. Patty – Junior Kindergarten
Hello, my name is Mrs. Patty Maldonado. I am proud to be the Junior Kindergarten Teacher of Hillsborough Schools Early Childhood Center. Prior to becoming Junior Kindergarten I was Director at Hillsborough for the past 3 years and before that a teacher at Hillsborough for over 15 years. Teaching is an absolute joy for me and as a director and now again teacher I especially enjoy meeting our families and interacting with all the children that are enrolled at our amazing school! I am also a mother of three, two of whom are alumni of our wonderful campus!
I received my Master Certificate in Early Childhood Education through NOCCCD. I have taught all ages from 2-6 in my career.
I take great pride in my work and strive each year to provide a positive learning environment for our children. I believe children learn best while having fun and encourage my staff to provide hands on learning activities that engage every child in their class!
I also teach an afternoon cooking enrichment class. My little chefs expand on educational concepts such as math skills, following directions, exploring the senses, expanding vocabulary, and developing good nutrition habits. My ingredients for a happy school include: Kindness, Praise, Patience, Curiosity, Respect, Recess and Humor!
